Had a break in the clouds tonight at around 10pm. Sky is clear, but very humid and cool. Dew covers everything within minutes it seems. Eyepieces fogged up soon after looking through them, so i packed it in pretty quickly.

Observations

NGC 404: Mirach’s Ghost – I found Alpha Peg in the finderscope and then in the 25mm eyepiece (98x) I could see a faint grey smudge nearby. Though I imagined it would appear closer to the star….I wasn’t sure if I saw the galaxy or if it was moisture on the EP lens that was glowing from a faint star. Pretty sure it was the galaxy…it appeared ‘below’ the star in the EP, which matches what shows in Stellarium and in photos.

I need to look at this on a drier night to confirm!
